POLICY FOR THE USE OF IMAGES OF CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 18
White Cliffs Rangers Football Club will adhere to The FA Child Protection and Best Practice Guidelines regarding the Use of Images of children/young people under the age of 18.
At the beginning of the season, during the Club Registration process, White Cliffs Rangers Football Club will supply to each player:
· A ‘Parent/Carer and Young Person Permission Form for the Use of Photographs and Recorded Images’.
· A copy of The FA Child Protection and Best Practice – Use of Images of Children/Young People Under the Age of 18 – 10 Golden Rules.
It is important that the club has parental consent to use a player’s image if it is to be used in the Public Domain. e.g. Club Website or Newspaper Article.
The ‘Parent/Carer and Young Person Permission Form for the Use of Photographs and Recorded Images’ will give parental consent to:
· The use of a player’s image in the public domain.
· Allowing parents and spectators associated with White Cliffs Rangers Football Club to Use Photographs or Recorded Images as per the guidelines of The FA Child Protection and Best Practice – Use of Images of Children/Young People Under the Age of 18 – 10 Golden Rules.
· Allowing parents and spectators associated with opposing Clubs to Use Photographs or Recorded Images as per the guidelines of The FA Child Protection and Best Practice – Use of Images of Children/Young People Under the Age of 18 – 10 Golden Rules.
In the event that parental consent has not been given for a particular section on the form:
· The child will not be included in a Team Photograph, and / or
· Permission will not be granted for applications submitted to Use Photographs or Recorded Images During a Match.
White Cliffs Rangers Football Club will ensure that any child, who is under a court order or care proceedings, will be fully protected by ensuring that their image is not placed in the public domain, and that permission for the Use of Photographs or Recorded Images is not granted to opposing teams.
It is Important that we consider all of the above points when wishing to Use Photographs and Recorded Images during match play. We need to give a little consideration towards the opposition player’s. Their circumstances may not allow for the Use of Photographs and Recorded Images.
In the event that a Parent/Carer and Player wishes to withdraw a consent at any time during the season, then they must inform White Cliffs Rangers Football Club in writing, the moment that circumstances change.
